What HAC Memorabilia Do You Still Have?

The husband dug up some old photos. There is a group shot with husband, darrell hurst, ? Benton, 2 bus ladies, and Roger Casteel, I think it was at Shakeys-bus promotion prize.

We also have a never been used Hard cover Rice Reference Bible, bought at a Bible sale at the college.

Also, unopened EVER, three burgundy colored hard cover books of Jack Hyles' sermans. (I'm thinking I need to have a bonfire tonight!!

Those will sell on Ebay!  One of them is more rare than the others.

I know the Rice Reference is hard to find. But it is hard cover, and I think it has a pic of a middle east city on it

I was referring to the sermon books.  It seems I have heard that one of them is harder to find.  I have all three.  It is a bit enjoyable to read some of the sermons from the earlier days.

I subscribed to 5 sets prepublication. Most of these are in their original shipping container. Do you really believe I could get something for these on Ebay?

You could list dog poop on eBay and someone would buy it.

Probably not.  The trick would be finding a buyer.  Most people who wanted that set ordered it when it came out.  Now.....  Supply and demand, my friend!  Your best bet would be to contact loyal followers and offer them the books on a deal.  There must be some HACker out there who would just love to have a set for their shelves (HACkers don't really read).

My set won't sell because they tore the hardback cover off of it, so I could have it in jail.
I read 3 or 4 sermons, got so disappointed at all the blatant affront to Scripture, that I never cracked it again.

It will hold a door open, it is heavy.

Earnestly Contend.

It's held together with duct tape (literally) but I have the New Thompson Chain Reference Bible I used in class all the way through HAC.It is filled with sermon notes, outlines, and autographs.

Reading those sermons tends to open ones eyes.

For example "Satan's Bid for Your Child" has enough vulgarity and profanity in it to make a vile ungodly unsaved person feel right at home. It is hard to believe that that stuff could have come out of a pastors mouth.
Worse yet I was siting there listening to it and it never hit me this stuff is vile.

They sell for about $20.00 each.

Number 3 is by far the hardest to get. I assume by the time number 3 came out many buyers had lost interest. I had heard they originally planned to do 5 volumes.

From what I remember, ever how many volumes till they encompassed all of Hyles' tenure. And for us old timers, this is when he was still tenuring.

You can never over estimate the value this stuff holds for some people. There is a book now (within the last year) of correspondence to and from Jack Hyles. One person even commented "now I know why we believe what we believe".

I seem to remember hearing that the guy who started this ran into a bunch of financial trouble and could not complete the project. Then I thought he died.

I guess I'm just helping to fill in the story.
After the project was dropped, Russell Anderson stepped in to get it going again. He sent a large sum of money to Tom Neal but for some reason Bro. Neal never got it going.
