Turned in!!

I was in the infirmary once.  My infirmary cell mate's boyfriend stood out in the courtyard and they talked through the window.  This was a big no-no.  You know, she was in her PJs and he was outside.

Anyway, the clinic work scholarship worker came into our room at that time. She turned all three of us in.  I wasn't even looking out the window.  I was sitting up on my own little infirmary bed, but I guess, since I was in the same cell, I was guilty by association.

And I hope you payed dearly for your rebellion!

I was older so was never a part of the turning in or being turned in crowd. My kids, however, were constantly being turned in for something or other either by a church member or hacker. Rarely was there any truth to the accusations. I saw them do this. They were dressed inappropriately. I saw him in shorts in the store. (basketball shorts after practice) I heard this. I heard that. Any accusation brought a big investigation by the then high school principal.

I was sick, for crying out loud!  Perhaps, I should have stepped out into that main hallway in my jammies and yelled, "I need help in here!  Someone is breaking the rules!"

On another clinic/infirmary story, I had a roommate who went to the clinic very early one morning without hose.  She wore knee socks, knowing she would probably be admitted to the infirmary.

The nurse gave her a shot (you know where)....and demerits for leaving dorm without wearing hose under her knee socks.

And I hope you payed dearly for your rebellion!

I never turned people in. Figured it was between them and God. I got turned in a few times for different things. The first time was for wearing pants over Christmas break in another state. Once for being at the lake with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon---the only problem was I wasn't dating anyone at that time and I was in Chicago in my bus route. Another time for some Christopher Pike and RL Stine books I was reading from the public library. Once for some marks on my arms. Lastly for holding hands with my then fiancé, now husband, in chapel.....we weren't holding hands though....we were playing with a scrunchie(hair piece) I wore on my wrist.....
