I may engage this exegetically later, and am not fleeing haphazardly to another text...

Fair enough. 

...but two quick questions before moving the discussion forward:

1) How do you reconcile Paul's (the author of Rom 2:15 of course) words with his words later in Romans 10:14-17?

If the Spirit can preach to anyone and Christ can preach to the dead (1 Peter 4), then I see no reason why one cannot live faithfully according the the revelation they have received only to praise Christ (believe and confess) once they get that greater revelation, whenever that may come.

2) Are you a fan of Clark Pinnock?  Open Theism as well?

A friend of mine describes open theists as "temporally inept".  I find that statement both accurate and very funny.
