The secular concerts that I have attended

Kenny Rogers and Dottie West, Needless to say it was a long time ago in Green Bay.

Sons of the San Joaquin, in Elmhurst, IL. About 15 years ago. Cowboy music. Excellent if you like this genre.

Willie Nelson, Star Plaza: A few years ago and even though I like him he was too old to be giving concerts. Not very enjoyable.

In Green Bay they measure time by who was quarterback.  Do you remember who?

John Hadl. He came from San Diego for a year or two along with John Jefferson. I think Hadl is right.

Thrash Metal bands that you never heard of.  '88-'91

Our city used to put on a free Christmas concert with our *City's Name* Singers, orchestra, and local school groups.  One year, they also had a new group sing as part of it.

That group is Little Big Town.

One of the singers went to Calumet Baptist and Lake Hills Baptist Church.  She used to be a cheerleader in Junior High there.  Her family moved to the Atlanta area when she was in 9th grade I think.  Had sleep overs at my house with my sister.  Karen Fairchild.  She's older than she looks.

Tidesof Truth, I must once again reprimand you for your failure to follow the RULES!  Without rules we are nothing!!  Read the OP carefully.

What a fun thread!  My first ever secular concert was... THE OSMONDS in 1976 (followed by several more Osmond concerts in 1977 and 1979).  A friend's parents drove us to Lexington, KY to see them when we were 16.  Yes, we attended HBHS at the time, and yes, Bro. Hyles did mention this (not favorably) in a church service once.  8)

About 3 or 4 years ago my business (along with several others) did enough business with a certain vendor that we earned a free, all expense paid trip to Phoenix.  It was a 3 day deal.  They had all kinds of activities and a lot of great food!

On the final evening we had a dress up fancy meal.  After the meal was over they told us to go across the hall (we were at a huge resort) and take a seat in the theater.  After everyone was seated they announced that we were going to enjoy a private concert with a popular group from the '70s.  The music started and Foreigner hit the stage.  My wife was ready to leave immediately.  We ended up staying for about 3 songs.  My flesh took over and I just had to hear "I've Been Waiting" and "Urgent" live.  :)

I love Foreigner!

Chicago - late 80's, I think; during their "Look Away" phase but they still played all the oldies but goodies; Jacksonville, FL

BOB SEGER!!!

Jacksonville, FL - 1982
Atlanta - 2011
Detroit - 2011
Seattle - 2013
Portland - 2013
Greenville, SC - 2013
and hope to add to this later this year! :D

(Can't believe I'm still a "newbie" after all these posts.  I give up!)

The Bee Gees

Wow!  Bee Gees in '72.  That was before the majority of their hits.
