Tell us about the secular concerts that you have personally attended.  Who was the artist/singer?  When was it?  Where was it?  You can tell us about the great ones as well as those that were not so great.

*As always, one concert per post.  Remember, it's all about the numbers!!

About 3 or 4 years ago my business (along with several others) did enough business with a certain vendor that we earned a free, all expense paid trip to Phoenix.  It was a 3 day deal.  They had all kinds of activities and a lot of great food!

On the final evening we had a dress up fancy meal.  After the meal was over they told us to go across the hall (we were at a huge resort) and take a seat in the theater.  After everyone was seated they announced that we were going to enjoy a private concert with a popular group from the '70s.  The music started and Foreigner hit the stage.  My wife was ready to leave immediately.  We ended up staying for about 3 songs.  My flesh took over and I just had to hear "I've Been Waiting" and "Urgent" live.  :)

Under the Streetlamp, Star Plaza in Merrillville by far outshines any other concert I have been to. 60's music that my wife dragged me to. I was shocked how much I enjoyed it.

Alabama, Star Plaza: Excellent concert!

Many a Hacker has snuck into that building.  :)

Neal McCoy, Someplace near South Bend. One of the best entertainers I have seen.

Oak Ridge Boys, Star Plaza: Go nearly every year to their Christmas concert.

Clint Black, Star Plaza: I like him but not a huge fan. I was kind of surprised by how talented he is. Can play just about any instrument in the band.
