I've been on the forum since 2001 or 2002 not sure .... 8)

Joined in January 2001. Through the forum began to correspond with a woman that we had been in church youth group together in 1975. We stayed in touch from 2001 until we married last December.

Congratulations.

Don't mean to be noisy but what took so long to tie the knot. Twelve years seems like a really long time.

Watch out christian mingle & eharmony, the FFF is the new match maker in town.

Does anyone have stories of renunions of long lost friends & co-workers made on one of the FFF's

How about relationships started here.

How many out there have met in person friends made here on the forum.

I've met many on the forum plus I knew them from college.

prophet helped me get home when I was visiting my parents.

I've talked to several on the phone and I've been prayed for which means the world.

In 2001 her kids were 15, 13, and 10. My boys were 14 and 12. She lived in Kentucky and I lived in Pennsylvania. Both of us were huge Phillies and Eagles fans. Most conversations were about Phillies/Eagles and kids.  In the beginning neither of us thought romantically due to the distance.  In her office at work there are bobble heads that a woman I dated (big Pirates/Steelers fan) got when we would go to Phillies games.  My girlfriend didn't want them so I would mail them to Renee.  I was open about where they were from since we were email friends and never considered it being more.

I did feel sorry that this dedicated Phillies fan lived in Kentucky and never got to go to Phillies games. I generally got to 8-10 games a year. I told her that next time she was in Philly I would take her to a game. In March 2012 we decided on two games in September that I already had tickets for. I mailed her the tickets which caused her to express the thought that this could be more.  I wound up visiting Kentucky the first time in July 2012 and visited quite a few times. We did go to two Phillies games in September 2012. I took early retirement and we married December 28th last year. All five kids were able to be there and Renee's oldest son performed the ceremony. In my wildest dreams I never imagined living in Kentucky married to a wonderful woman that I met in a youth group in the Philadelphia area in 1975 or that an email conversation would ever turn into this.  It has been an amazing and wonderful journey.

Hopefully that explains while it took 12 years to tie the knot 8)

This is a wonderful story for two deserving people....God is good!!

I started on the FFF on Don's forum.  Under a different name of course.

I'm shocked Phil Armenik never met anyone on these forums. He was quite a catch.

Phil A was Ryan correct....LOL! Who knows the right person will come along at the right time... ;)
