The Hacker Thread about Absolutely Nothing Particular!

A very recent high profile discussion on the HAC forum is seriously & quickly making me rethink cutting the word quit out of my dictionary......

The last I checked believers are to make their decisions & set their sails based on the Scriptures not how the currents of the culture are driving them.

An old friend of mine died of cancer this week. He humbly taught music in the same Christian school for 30 years. I was privileged  to teach 2 of his kids & their mates as a SS teacher of young couples years ago.

I went to the viewing tonight. The family was thankfully focused on "Heaven is better."

I found this song when I got home. I still think this grace we know is Amazing.

Glen Campbell - Amazing Grace (Live)

Wow!  What a Super Bowl!!  That final play call will be questioned for years.

As I recall they Seahawks had 2 timeouts & a couple more plays left.
WHY.....didn't the QB Wilson take a timeout & question the call?
Why......didn't head coach question it?
Lynch will make a minimum 5 million next year.....& why did they throw the ball?
Whatever happened to the QB-sneak?

Mercy.......the questions that will be asked. They pay these guys millions & yet millions who have never been in the NFL could have called a better play.  ::)

Once again, I have returned from helping the kids at Aunt Elvia's Home with their homework, and once again, some of the kids had no idea of what they were taught today.

No one is perfect, but Marlene Evans taught us "If they haven't learned, you haven't taught!" and she repeated it over and over again.

The Mexican school teachers stand in front of a chaotic classroom and teach the lesson properly, ignoring the kids who are clowning around. They explain that their duty is to teach properly, and if the kids don't pay attention, it is not the teacher's responsibility.

Now I know that it isn't always the teacher's fault, but these teachers don't even try.

Marlene Evans taught us better than that.

You have some valid points, Aleshanee. But after their day at school, they have to learn that day's lesson from scratch, from me.

Due to financial considerations, FBCH has made major changes to their bus ministry.

I misplaced my prayer binder last week and have been lost without it.
Offered my kids 5 bucks to find it and I had it in 10 minutes! 8)

Gotta love motivation.

Since the kids know there is financial reward for finding it, don't be surprised if it "goes missing" more often. :)

You wouldn't believe the times that I misplace things (more as I get older) that I send the super snoopers (there's four of them) after what I lose.  When I offer a reward, they are determined to find it!  Saves me the hassle of looking for it!
