Football season is just around the corner and the Raiders have no QB.

Classic!  :)

Radar, you just haven't been around long enough! I remember Oakland in the 60's and later. Belitnikoff, Kasper, Shell, etc. Those guys used to be awesome and if time permits they will be again. What goes up must come down and so on and so on.  Remember GB in the 70's and 80's?

I've been a Raider fan since the '70s.  I remember the glory days well.

Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd post it here.  Who can name all the faces?

hacgroup_zpsc1fb184f.jpg

Pat McCloskey standing to the left of his wife, Kyla.
Next to Kyla is Lavonna Stark, then Cindy Howell.
Shari Schultz, the piano player is standing behind the bench and Dr. Cowling is to her left.

Pat & Kyla still travel and sing.  Cindy lives in Michigan (She and I are FB friends...and friends in "real life" too). and Lavonna was in Gaylord, MI.  I think Shari is in NC.  (If Teri in NC were here, she could tell us for certain. )

Kyla is also my FB friend.

Shari Schultz married a DeLange (go Lethal Lions) and lives in Virginia

Wow, the Bammers are hooting and hollering tonight with 'Bama's win!  Rollllll Tide!
We in Pittsburgh are excited that Pitt won their opener, even if I never heard of the opposing team before! :P
The Pirates have won 4 in a row and are beating on the Redbird's door.

Thursday night - Packers vs Seahawks!!

Something you may not know, Teri in NC is married to Shari Schultz DeLange's brother.

The Seahawks are going to be tough to beat barring injury.  If they have home field advantage, really tough to beat.

At least Rogers and the Pack exposed a ray of hope of weakness, on their last scoring drive.

But who in the AFC could take advantage of it?

I think Harbaugh is living for beating Seattle on the Reg Season this year.  They will probably  have  to beat them in Seattle at least once, if they want to win it all.
They (Frisco) pose the only threat to Seattle from anywhere, really.
And if Frisco split the Reg Season Series with em, they'd have to face them in Seattle for the NFC championship. So they will have to win one by the other Bay, to face Denver or the Pats.

I kept waiting for the Packer offense to look get into a flow.  It really never happened.  There was a flash here or there, but nothing consistent.  The Packers missed tackles didn't help.

I agree that the Niners are the only real NFC threat to Seattle.  Getting off their home field in the playoffs is a must.

Our power was out until the 4th quarter started last night, so I caught random highlights, and that 5&1/2 minute long scoring drive by Rogers looked like it tightened up towards the last minute of it.
Didnt have musch to compare it to.
The Pack is full of youngsters, but they look hard to beat, and will only get better.
They have to plug that O-Line hole, on the right side.
The Division is gonna be tough this year.
Minnesota is knocking on the door.
The Lions really should be the  favorites.
The Bears have no reason to not be a playoff team.
And the Pack looked back.

I say 8's across the board ...

This is true, BUT they do have a reason not to go far in the playoffs - his name is Jay Cutler.  :)

I'm not the one who disagrees with you on this.
I think we wasted 8 years of team building, centering everything around him, including coaching staff.
But, on paper, with a decent O-Line for the first time in years, the Bears have no excuses left.

It's not about winning it all.  It's about beating the bears!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns beat the Steelers this year.  I have a bad feeling about the Steelers this year.

I see nothing to make me think the Browns will be greatly improved over last year.
