Prayer request....

Thanks for your prayers.  I arrived home yesterday after receiving a 5-way bypass (for those who don't know, there is no difference in the pain or recovery between a 2-way and a 6-way).  The hardest part is BREATHING.  I am currently on no pain meds (no true HACker uses pain meds) so when I cough it is an "experience".

Thanks again for your prayers.  Our needs now are for recovery and for work.  I can't work so I can't make money.  We need God to provide.

Please don't tell me you missed a Saturday of bus visiting!

Honestly I did, but I attempted to make it up with room-to-room, wheelchair-to-wheelchair and gurney-to-gurney visitation.

If your'e not on a bus, your not a Baptist!  Now, Get right with God, get out there and give me the 15 hours of visitation needed so I can win a trip, you stinkin' deadbeat!

Praying for recovery.

I appreciate the prayers.  Today marks 4 weeks from surgery.  I would not wish this on anyone.  Slowly gaining some strength and regaining my appetite.  Leg wounds from where they harvested veins are slow to heal and slightly painful when I walk.  Fortunately, they do not slice the entire leg open as they used to do, but make smaller cuts and pull the veins out.  All my doctors say that I was very lucky and this was caught in time (no heart damage).  The neat sensation was when they pulled out the 3 drain tubes from my chest.  Wow!  Oh, and the catheter being yanked out was a unique experience.  My chest still has strange sensations and will for several months.

On a side note my father had the same surgery when he was the same age as I and in the same month.  I've told my 2 sons to watch what they eat.  They nodded in agreement as they munched on bags of Cheetos.

Thanks again.
Thanks for the update....still praying here.

Good to have you back, X-files.
