Are you the owner, or do you just carry his water?

None of the above. Are you a Democratic Party symbol only with respect to the webmaster, or are you like this in general?

Qwerty and Ransom!  You two sound like bus worker vs. Bible club worker!  Sheesh!

Admin is doing a good job.  Let's all just take it down a notch.  Here, have a Binaca on me and we can all say "Cheers" to admin.

Yesterday evening when trying to connect, the connection kept timing out. It was like that for a few hours. Didn't know if it the host or my computer. Now this morning all seems to be fine. Got connected on the first try and it's not running slowly.

I don't want you to think I'm ignoring you. I have been monitoring performance and its still a little hit and miss at times. I'm going to request to be moved to a different server.

Thanks

Ignore me at your peril; I'll go all "I Am Am Angel" on you and your forum!!!

LOL!!!

Nah, just kidding. Wasn't feeling ignored. I'm sure you have responsibilities other than the forum. I (and I'm sure there are many others here who feel the same way) am just thankful for an owner who cares about his forum and not wanting it to become a broken down wreck like the old FFF.

In case I haven't said it before, thanks for all the work you put into this forum, giving us all a place to hang out and discuss the issues.

:)

Just wanted to say that most of the time the page loads are very slow on this forum.

I've noticed it the last couple days being a little slower. It was fine for a couple of weeks and it began to slow down again. My hosting provider did offer to move the site to a different server but gave me a horror story of possibilities. They recommend that I not move and let them work on it. For a while, it seem liked it worked. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks
Admin

I appreciate your attention to this problem.  This was the beginning of the end on the "old FFF".  Things began to run slow and got worse by the day.  We lost a lot of posters who never returned.

The service is running ridiculously slow today!

Thanks, it has gotten some what better since I posted, but it seems to be hit and miss. Again thanks for caring.

Definitely, thanks for caring!!

Not sure what to make of it, but on my laptop and tablet, the forum seems to load up pretty quickly, but on my desktop it takes forever to go from one page to another. Both the desktop and laptop are running Windows 7.

I use Firefox on the laptop and desktop and the Firefox app on my tablet.

Today.

IFB X-Files, I get that same message, occasionally.  I hit the back button and try again.  It usually loads just fine the second time.

I don't have high-speed internet, but I don't have dial-up, either.  Perhaps my mid-speed connection lowers my expectations.  ;)
