Pastors would you perform a wedding

Not knowingly.  But understand that I rarely perform weddings outside our congregation.  I take seriously the command regarding an unequal yoke.

And what command is that?

But if both the bride and the groom want a mixer for the reception, what's unequal about it?

That's basically where I was going.  What does the command "do not be unequally yolked with unbelievers" mean?  What does it mean to be yolked?  If you are performing a wedding ceremony, to whom are you being unequally yolked if the later wedding reception includes mixed drinks?

(Yes, I know it's yoked, just having fun.)

I would possibly consider it....but not at my church.  I also wouldn't stay for the reception.

1.) Despite the fact that their is no clear "universal condemnation" of all alcoholic beverages in scripture, the Bible does paint a very negative picture of it.
2.) Personal distaste.  Not only do I not drink alcohol, but I do not like being in the presence of it.
3.) Testimony.  Paul recommends not eating meat offered to idols if it will offend a weaker brother.  I think this applies.

Thanks

Right. But also bear in mind that Jesus attended a wedding where the guests were drinking so much wine that they were running out (note: those wedding parties went on for several days), and Jesus made more for them. But only after his mother insisted.  :-*
