I'm getting this message when I go there: Fatal error: Unable to connect to memcache server in [path]/includes/class_datastore.php on line 224

It has been headed to a burn out for quite a while...kinda sad really!  But anything left without maintenance will eventually destroy itself.

I was rebuked by OverIt for stating that this forum was ad and virus free!
I'm sorry to see the old forum die, but it's on life support....

Don't let OverIt get you down. I saw your repetitive advertising.  Keep up the good work.

I got this from the FFF:

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

Well, I'm home now!  Bye bye old crappy FFF.  What a waste of money.

Ironic that you would crash the fff and come here and whine about being banned. V Bulletin outed you. Complain to them.

Exactly how do you crash a forum?

It's tried thousands of times a day all....over the world. Does vbulletin have an unpublished vulnerability?

I wouldn't believe what they "said" concerning the issue. If "Top" can crashed the old forum..... I bet there are a lot of hackers that would LOVE to know how.  ;)

My guess is.... the old forum is running on shared hosting and the "ad services" are greatly impacting performance. Add in the fact that half the code is broken and thus generating a massive amount of logging errors.... and you have your answer. I'd love to run "top" (pardon the PUN. "Top" is a Linux utility to monitor performance.) on that host. I bet it's pulling close to 100 percent CPU utilization and probably paging to disk every second.

At least that is my educated guess.

I guess the word is out that I crashed the forum and got banned.  Well, for the record...no I didn't.  You're guess is good though.  I knew that place wouldn't last since it got bought out.  Glad you started this one.

Oh, if Bass comes here and starts her "31 days" threads, can you ban the crap out of her?  Pleeeeze!

I don't know what any of that stuff meant but it sure sounds cool.

I was thinking maybe they're injecting antiprotons directly into the plasma power conduits without the inertia dampeners being aligned with the anti-matter particle kinetic energy conduits. (I'm just sayin'.)  :D

I might also be the flux capacitor.

That's a hoot!

If that is the case, then why don't they simply reverse the polarity on the plasma coils and send out an inverse poleron beam? Of course that may cause a phase shift to occur, but I think that can be controlled by a realignment of the Heisenberg compensators in the matter stream of the transporter.

So they need to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow!

Hey, this is the first thread on the forum to break 50 posts. Yay!

Not too bad for a newbee!

Strongly disagree T-Bone. If the proliferation of socks continues unabated I will be sorely tempted to leave.

Agreed.  At this point, it looks like this place might end up on the "fundamental fighting forum clone" trash heap like all the rest.

I'll stay put for now and see what happens.

I'm sure the admin here can take care of that with enough complaints.

On a better note:  I got the biggest thread here!

How much Karma do I get for that? :P

Is there any way to save all that information? It really would be a shame for all that time and effort to go to waste. Lot of man hours there.

Coming from a newbie?

Ironman is nursified....what other troll problems do we have here?

The 666 still has technical problems, although it is better than it used to be....
It still has the lurker traffic that this forum lacks.

This forum just started and with 137 members and growing, doesn't seem too bad to me.

FFF will be gone soon.  I can remember when Don left because of the Katrina aftermath, the forum got so corrupt from spam, porn ads, etc.  I think that's what is going to happen to the old fff soon.
