I think you've just described a lot of IFB churches, but it doesn't sound like AoG at all. Nor does it sound like Open Bible or Foursquare.  :

I think you've just described a lot of IFB churches, but it doesn't sound like my AoG church at all.  :

I can't speak for your church but having grown up in Church of God atmosphere and having visited several Pentecostal churches and having had many friends and associates who are Pentecostal, I can tell you that most of them (99%) teach a Jesus + salvation or Grace + works salvation.  So what are they trusting in?  Jesus or their works?

Baptist Churches?  Some have too many rules and expect you to be just like them but our church teaches and preaches salvation by Grace and live by faith.  We also believe in separation from the world and Hell Fire Brimstone preaching.

I have not studied him enough to make those observations.  It has been my experience though, with attention hogs that the more you talk about them, the more they stay around.
