Yes, he did, for a time. I have a very distinct memory of a rather heartbreaking conversation I had with him during a break.

He was a good man.

I went with him for quite a while to CookCounty jail. He is pastoring a church in DeMotte, IN.

Crossroads Truckstop in Lowell, Indiana. Now a Flying J. Worked there in 1980. This past summer was traveling through area and stayed at Best Western across the street. Had breakfast at the truckstop. Surreal to be back 36 years later and realize how much has happen in life since I pumped fuel on third shift. Could not imagine being a grandfather in 1980. Life has been good.
