There is a tiny bit of Latinist rcc resistance. After all, the Vulgate is a far superior text to the new textus corruptus and it is obvious that the Nova Vulgata is used as a way to bring in the corrupt text.
However the main point is that the rcc as an institution has heartily approved the Westcott-Hort recension editions. From the time of the Trent Counter-Reformation till today, afawk they never approved a single Received Text edition anywhere in the world, in any language.
