This is fixing to be on awkward conference. I am going to bet with Trieber or Chappell will back out.

Well I think it has now been validated by JT.

Maybe they don't think we will know?

This stuff is well known and is an open book at FBCH.

It is highly public.

The Zachary/Boruff and Treiber/Chappell thing is well known?

Of course it is... Where do you think all IFB get their matching orders ;)

Ever since the JS thing went down us older saints at FBCH are keeping our eyes and ears open to what is going on.

We are still good for something. We watch all the social media for signs of church problems.

If we would have watched FFF a few years ago we might have stopped JS in his tracks, things look so much different to those on the outside looking in, we need that perspective. Somehow the change in perspective is quit illuminating.

Through our families we are still able to exert some influence for good and for God. We are heartsick because of what we let JH do for all those years. We are certainly responsible for many of the perverted and demented so called servants of God we let loose across the country with our blessing.

George Godfrey, Robert Sumner, Vole Glover and many others warned us but we would not listen to God's men, they could see it but we were willfully blind. We were in a continuos state of denial.

Don't beat yourself up over all of this BG. Now seriously, do you think that you could have told JH very much? Or swayed anyone about him very much? And he would have been a piece of cake compared to js!

Thank-you for your kind words.

Balaam said, "Now seriously, do you think that you could have told JH very much?"

There are two times when we could easily have done something about it. Keep in mind proper timing is everything.

1. One Saturday night in the Adams chapel FBC deacon and chief of police of Griffith stood up and told about finding JH son and a girl, both naked in the back of the sons car, behaving inappropriately, he also told of other things relating to the son. The longer he talked I watched JH turn white, he looked like a corpse. The police chief asked him what he was going to do about it. JH said in a voice that was barely audible, "I'll take care of it."

We all left the room without a closing prayer or closing the meeting, we did not say anything, we left in total silence seeing all that we had worked so hard to accomplish evaporate without a trace. I guess technically it might still be in session. DH was history and the rest is as they say history.

If we would have had the intestinal fortitude of real men we would and could have asked for his resignation that night and we would have had it in a heartbeat, he knew and we knew he was disqualified, but we still wanted him to be our pastor. We refused to obey God.

2. On another Saturday night VN got up and stood directly in front of JH and told the story of David and his great sin, he said JH stole his wife, VN put his finger in JH face and said "Thou art the man". This was one of the most powerful messages I have ever heard. I've heard all the so called great ones too. JH turned white like a corpse again and he begin to shake like a rag doll, I thought he was going to collapse, he was totally speechless.

We could have commenced an investigation that night. We could have taken JH to his office and asked him to explain why after all the people, George Godfrey and others,  that had asked him to do it, he had still not had the door removed between his office and JN office. He was flaunting it we knew it and he knew it. He would say, "don't you trust me?" We should have said, "I would never trust any man to have a door to use to secretly access the secretary." Even unsaved men know that. We didn't say, "You need to resign you are disqualified."

If we were real men that is what we would have done. Instead we shouted angrily at VN to get out and leave Preacher alone. We all, including JH, walked out one by one without adjourning the meeting or talking amongst ourselves. We liked things the way they were, what God said didn't matter, wasn't he God's man? He told us that all the time and we believed it.

Somehow JH recovered enough to speak the next day. He slowly recovered, we had his back.
After that night he closed every meeting saying something like this "I want to thank you fellas for my ministry."
Over the years newer guys didn't know what he meant, but those who were there that night knew and would relived the night every time he said it.

Balaam said, "And he would have been a piece of cake compared to js!"

Well as for JS he is like a child to us. We are 15-30 years older than he is, he is like a little kid. He could be a son. Not. My wife and I had fun watching this new little dweeb chase the preacher's youngest daughter in Miller hall. It was great fun watching the hunt. He never knew we were watching and laughing at him, he was oblivious to us. He was just like a little puppy dog.

We would walk right by them, my wife had her in SS, and would say, "hi Cindy, how are you tonight?"

Well JS got the bright idea, about 2008, that his secretaries would count the offerings, bad idea. We got together and shut him down, he never knew what happened, I doubt he does even after all these years.

JS was an infant compared to JH.

From the little I knew of both of them, I would agree that js was a lightweight compared to jh. But if anyone did not see themselves as a lightweight it was js! I just think js would have been a lot harder to approach than jh. IMO

From FBCH:

Homecoming Bible Conference | October 6-8, 2014
The 2014 Homecoming Bible Conference is a time that we welcome back our friends for a visit! Our speakers this year will be Dr. Clarence Sexton, Dr. Jack Trieber, and Dr. Paul Chappell. Everything begins October 6, 2014. Plan now to attend this time of renewed faith and friendship. The conference theme, "To Please Him," is taken from John 8:29 and is the same as our church theme for the year.

I might travel across town to hear Chappell or Trieber, but definitely not 8 hours.  No interest.

I would love to see a Conference that featured missionaries who served 25 yrs or more on the field & are getting the job done.

Bring them back for the standing O's & the royal treatment. Maybe a few pastors from small country churches who have lived on peanuts but have served God humbly for many years.

When we get to Heaven we may be surprised exactly who gets rewarded for their service to God.

They do bring them in but they never let them preach.

If VN really believed that JH stole his wife's heart.  Why didn't he ever lay JH out on his back?
To quote JH, on national television: "He's a wimp".

You know, you are right, I actually watched that.

Ole JH took VN's old lady.  LOL!!!  And made her make VN sleep in the basement.  I don't care what y'all say........JH is "THE MAN".

Not really, if this is true it is very sad.

He stole her affection through his unbiblical leadership...

Eph 5:22
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

He had women , who were married to another man, submitting to him.

It is our Nicolaitan way.

It is an abomination.
