I got turned in!

My girlfriend who played piano was in the doorway of one of the downstairs practice rooms and I was in the doorway of the hallway headed upstairs from as Peddler's way. Ray Highfield came around the corner and gave us demerits for talking because of the time(I forget the exact time but Peddlers Way was still open). You could have driven a bus between us...sideways. Anyhow the offense was written up like we were doing something racy like "inappropriate conduct with member of opposite sex".
And I thought you were holy...mole!  :P

When my wife lived in the dorms, she got demerits because she had only her top button unbuttoned (floor-length PJs) while attending the dorm (all girls) Bible study.

a few years ago a group of people on one of the old forums suggested i should consider going to hac...... they even said it would be a good experience for me.....  ???..... but now.. after reading this thread... i;m beginning to realize they were probably all taking bets on how long i would last there before getting kicked out.... :-\ ....... whoever estimated it would have been only a matter of hours.... rather than weeks... or even days...... would have been the big money winner......  8)

Your words echo what I have been posting on the FFF for years.  HAC has always been up front and "in your face" about their rules and policies.  If you visit the college, you see it.  If you talk to a student, you hear it.  They have always been an IFB college preparing full-time Christian workers to build churches of like doctrine and belief of FBCH.

I have to shake my head when someone posts about getting to HAC and realizing that there are some strange rules.  While it would be impossible to know everything, there is enough right in front of you to make a decision.  They are as advertised!

My freshman year, I was so excited I had bought a bright, yellow, short terry cloth robe. I first was told to make sure it was tied shut. Then I was told it was too short, could not wear it. I LOVED the robe, so I kept wearing it...got demerits!!

You stinkin' rebel you!

I guess that one time I was a rebel! I was just so excited to have a robe I liked!!

I remember during my junior year for some reason we had a rabbit fur..  I made a loin cloth out of it and ran through the halls of the Prophet's Dorm.  Never got turned in, but received plenty of laughs.  :)

That could open up for so many comments, but so far I am loyal to you and your reputation, my brother!

They go well beyond what is advertised especially if one of the staff has a bone to pick with you for whatever reason. I had one boast to me about that.

Your blind loyalty is refreshing.

However, I did have my reasons for enjoying the life at Baptist City rather than Main Campus!  ;)

Sadly, speaking to a young lady from 10+ feet away isn't the most unholy thing I've done either.

I remember that robe. Didn't you often wear it OPEN over the top of your skirt or culottes and top?

My dorm sup, turned me in once for popping corn in my room, right next to her door that opened up into our room-but was locked from her side!!
