Dan Helvey. He is a HAC grad, (or like The Real Felon, at least he claims to be). He was pastor at Neuse Baptist Church in Raleigh. He came from a church in SC prior to that. Pre-hire, he lied and told the people there, that he was a Calvinist, because it is/was a Calvinist church. Then he proceeded to come within an inch of bankrupting the church, which had zero budget problems for more than 40 years. He then ran off with one of the church members, leaving a wife and three children. Since then he has been a used car salesman, a painter, etc. He has also left the woman he ran off with and has been married at least twice since then. A real stand up guy. I knew one of the members of the pulpit committee what hired this moron. I told him, before they hired him that he was a huge mistake and wasn't what he presented himself to be. (I had never even met the guy, but knowing he was a HAC grad, knew he was a liar and worse). Hard to imagine people being so gullible to have this guy as a leader. But hey, legalism still sells in a few places. All IMHO of course.

Who took the church over after this guy left? Is it Charles Hatcher hes from Crown College.
