Neither of us remember what started it, but he made the statement, "A lot of good going to Spectacular did you!"

My retort, "If they had a Christian Manhood Spectacular , the whole word would be better!"  Then I said something like , "No, it wouldn't because men are too pig-headed and proud and would never attend it to make themselves better because they're too perfect already!"

Typical woman.

This happened 22 years ago and she remembers every word.

Men, can I get an "Amen"?

Someone has to remember history correctly.  Men obviously don't.  That's why, when they're telling about some event, you hear, 'Oh, honey, what was that fella's name again?"

"Which fella, dear?"

"Oh, you know.  Doodle-bum.  What's-his-name?  Drove a Ford pick-up."

"Henry?"

"Yes, that's him.  Henry!"

Anybody have a history book written by a woman?

I didn't think so.

I do. In fact, it is an 11 volume set. If you don't have one you should get one.
Women are quite good at history.

Will and Ariel Durant.

LOL!  I have that set.  Co-authored doesn't count.

Well, I tried. Ariel got her name on every book they produced. I don't see how that detracts any from her accomplishments.

From the library of Congress card catalog.

Variant(s) Kaufman, Chaya
Kaufman, Ida
Durant, Will, Mrs.
Found in NUCMC data from Univ. of Washington Lib. for Durant Study Club. Records, 1946-1986 (Durant, Ariel)
Durant, W. Dual Autobiography, 1977: t.p., etc. (Durant, Ariel; born Chaya Kaufman in Proskurov, Russia, in 1898; emigrated to U.S. with parents in 1901 where her name became Ida Kaufman; m. Will Durant in 1913; legally changed her name to Ariel Durant, adopting her husband's nickname for her)
NY Times obit., 10-28-1981 (Durant, Ariel; dead at age 83)

They really had something going together all those years.

In all my years in Fundyland, I heard many of the same quotes and stories repeated numerous times, but I never heard this woman quoted:  https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/223411.Golda_Meir

There were several quotes.  To which do you refer?

See my edit.  They were too many to choose from.

I hated the ladies meeting...I probably went to maybe five in the nine years I was there. I worked afternoon shift and I could not get off. I always thought the ladies looked half dead especially on the web site when we could watch. I've been married 40 years at Christmas. The Word of God has been my teacher and my mom through these years.

I've had some wonderful pastors wives as examples: Mrs Vernon Nelms, Mrs Betty Pennell, Mrs LE Traxler  these ladies touched my life as a Godly example of Christ!!
