Does anyone have a complete list of all the HAC honorary doctorate recipients & the year they were given.

Might make a good OP to see how many we can come up with and a description of where the honorees are today.

In keeping with the FFF / Raider tradition one name per post, please include best guess for year. Others will add what they know about the degree holders current activities.

If some "Hacker" holds the complete list please post it and we can work from the master list & fill in what we know.

Don Boyd
Eddie Lapina

I remember Don Boyd telling me that Eddie came out in the hallway after they had received their doctorates and said "Now I can go home and play doctor".

Any wonder HBers have issues.    :o :) :D

Dr. Ray Boardway received his honorary doctorate in the mid 70's after the death of a music faculty member and Ray took time away from NIPSCO to help out at HAC until a replacement could be brought in.  I wonder if his NIPSCO co-workers called him Dr. Boardway?

Patriot, no disrespect here, but did he ever graduate from college?

Graduating from a college is not a requirement to have an honorary doctorate bestowed on one.

Remember Bill Rice's horse.

Which really helps put the "honor" in perspective.
