This is more FBC memory than HAC, but my memory is of Mrs Hyles singing Sweet Little Jesus Boy at the last service before Christmas Day. Most times, the crowd would be considerably smaller as all HAC students were home for Christmas and even many of the FBC members were out of town. This was a treat for those in attendance for this service.

We started a church in Gary, in '96, and by Christmas '97, we had about 20 adults and teens who wanted to go with us to the Christmas concert 6 O'clock hour at FBCH.
The feedback from hearing Mrs. Hyles sing, was that she must have been trained by a black woman.
Always was the highlight of Christmas to me.
So THAT'S when you started RAIDER worship!kaba said:The Christmas decorations through out the campus.
Dorm Hall Christmas parties.
My father did not believe in Christmas trees, so my roommate Dorinda Vaughn and her fiancee Don Moore, went and got a very small tree and we decorated it in our room! My first ever tree!!
I guess it will come as no surprise to you then, that I like Whitney's song?Norefund said:Boy, we really have different taste in music. I always dreaded hearing BH sing that song. It's almost as bad as hearing Whitney Houston sing "I will always love you." I swear, you could use that recording as a car alarm.

So when they take pictures for promotional purposes everyone looks the part of the nice, shiny image they wish to portray to the world. Remember...it's all about appearances!
