This is a recent post on facebook from Bro. Steve Hobbins:

On Monday night, February 25 we will be hosting an HAC alumni fellowship in our Fellowship Hall at LABC. In addition to the new FBC Pastor, John Wilkerson, the HAC Alumni director, Steve and Konny Froelke, Bro. Ray Young, and Bro. Eddie Wilson will be here.

We will be meeting for a time of fellowship at 5:30 pm, then dinner at 6pm and then a brief meeting so that HAC can find out where each alumnus is living and what they are doing. This will not be a preaching service. There is no cost for this meeting or meal, but please R.S.V.P. by February 18, 2013, so we can plan for the meal. (see info below)

We would like to invite all HAC alumni students (you do not have to be a graduate of HAC) in about a 100 mile radius (or farther if you want to make the trip) along with your spouse.

To RSVP you may contact Bro. Froelke at the college at 219-365-4031 (extension 1166), or his cell phone at 570-847-4734, or you may email him at froelkes@hylesanderson.edu.

If you have any questions that I (Pastor Hobbins) can help answer please feel free to e-mail me at pastorhobbins@gmail.com

I do plan to attend. I think that in the spirit of this forum someone should ask Bro. Wilkerson if he plans to lift the ban on the word "Hacker." :)

They started this recently, and I think it's a great idea. If HAC has a prayer it is in restoring its fast fraying relationships with alumni. If it doesn't it will become Tennessee Temple North. I hadn't expected to see John Wilkerson take part, but again, I think that is a wonderful idea.

My husband has spoken to Steve Froelke he is a bridge builder in the rebuilding process...........we wish them the best!!

Froelke and his wife are koolaid drinkers. He loves the power and attention given him.he fits right in at HAC.

He came on staff after I left,  but I have had occasion to speak with him since then and he seems to have a burden to make things right with the graduates.

qwerty, Steve has been a big help and has not avoided us in the many questions we have had for him..........

kaba, if you believe he is a koolaid drinker that is your opinion......but he is not a koolaid drinker in my opinion. He has tried to give us the best answers he has and he's been there less than a year. What a mess he stepped into..........

So, will the crowd sporadically stand and proclaim: "I, am your coupon!"

Will there be an opportunity to swear allegiance?

But I really want to know before attending, will there be 100% Wilkerson buttons available?

I laughed at loud at this post. What's funny about it is that in 1987 John Wilkerson, Steve Hobbins and I played on the same intramural basketball team. (Look up a year book and I guess there goes my identity) Our team was very good. John and Steve were good players and we went to the league finals. In the days before the big game our cheerleaders did print up buttons to wear.

So I guess what goes around does come around.

I Know he is a kook aide drinker. My Family members worked for him in his church in PA! He has always been a Hyles and HAC koolaide drinker, sacrificing his kids for the cause! He is a typical HAC kookaide drinker graduate.

Why when people were being laid off was he hired? He brags how many years his wife has not worn pants, he likes the pats on the back the acknowledgements. I have known about him for years and never respected him then and do not even more so now.

Classic!

You, know - Those buttons now belong in the official "Our Preacher" museum on campus (Or whatever they call it).  You could probably sell it on ebay to on overzealous HACker looking to gain notoriety, but your real moral HACker obligation would be to donate it!

I am assuming that you mean hula dress. And don't forget the coconut shells!

Did any of you northerners attend the Alumni Meeting?  Can you give us some play by play of the highlights? Pastor Hobbins & his father are great guys. Have not see them in a very long time.
