I'd like to see us go to DST and leave it there since we are on that schedule for a majority of the year. However, I'd be happy to leave the time changes behind regardless of what schedule we keep.
It doesn't matter what schedule we keep because living in SE Washington/N Idaho, we're as far north (46th parallel and change) as central Maine and on the Eastern edge of the Pacific time zone, so we'd end up with ridiculously early sunrises (like 3:55 am) during summer or sunsets by 4 pm if we stayed with standard time.
