Getting Personal

I think this is a ruse for Alaymen to get information on us. ;)

Really!!  I didn't think anyone would actually post answers  ;)

Married at the old age of 19, mom of 5. Daughter is the oldest and then 4 boys. Home schooled for over 20 years but alll have/will graduated from a Christian school.  We've had at least one in college since 1997.  Three kids are married and on their own, one is in pre-med in college and  1 remains at home who  turns 16 this week.  Have mercy, someone get me a crash helmet.

Been caring for my mom (she's almost 93) for a long time and cared for her older sister until her passing 2 years ago.  Mom (nicest lady on earth) is in assisted-living now but I spend time with her daily.

We enjoyed the military life for 23 years and lived in great places.  Especially liked CA, RI and Puerto Rico.  We've been in fantastic IFB churches every place we have lived. Moved to our present location to help start a church and work in the Bible printing ministry.  My husband still works full time.....way too full time.  Today is his birthday and he went to work 17 hours ago and no end in sight.

House is too big now.  Wait, daughter and her husband and 3 kids will be living with us for 6 weeks.  Five bedrooms and five bathrooms will be full.  Son-in-law is an F-15 fighter pilot and is getting out of the AF and going into the Air NG.  Staying with us to work in Bible ministry until he leaves to train to fly a much sloooower transport aircraft.  Missionary aviation is his goal.

God is good and I am so grateful for His mercy.

Since there is a lull in the love fest, let's talk about ourselves.  What do you do for a living?  Where is the favorite place you've lived or visited?  Own or rent?  Just answer the basics, like you answer on a basic census form.  ;)

I think the 2000 census form actually inquired into the number of bathrooms in our house.

I live 20 blocks (I've counted!) east of East St. Louis, Illinois.  (the other side of the state from where Pastor Hayden lives.

I was divorced a few years ago when my wife got wandering eyes and feet.  I remarried two years ago and have the married life I thought was a myth.  We live with our two cats.

Seminary student, also work in school bookstore and janitor for a church.

Favorite place I've lived or visited...Alabama

Rent.

One bathroom.

Three vehicles - a big 2009 Diesel pickup truck for my husband, a 2010 cross-over for me; and a 1997 sedan for the young driver still living at home (but he knows privileges for driving it are dependent upon his being either a man-child or a child-man. )

Favorite place I've visited - Hawaii, but I love the mountains, too.  Any mountains of any size........

Agent P.  I'd take East St. Louis over Chicago any day.  Glad where a part of the same tri-state area.

East St Louis?? I stopped with my family at a Walmart in Cahokia last year. We had to get a couple of supplies and were chased down by two hoodies in the parking lot. A guy with two german shepherds came to our rescue.

I work for Purina Animal Nutrition (a Land O'Lakes company) as a bulk materials planner/logistics specialist for two plants.

Married 25 years this coming December, 4 kids: oldest is in college and youngest will start middle school in the fall.

Live in a 4 bedroom/2-1/2 home in a boxed-in subdivision. Making payments toward ownership. Cars are a 91 Honda Civic and a 2003 Honda Odyssey, both cars with over 200K on them. Had 2 other Honda Accords the last two years but the oldest two kids each totaled one. :D

Favorite place to visit? Just away with my bride wherever that may be. Like the Mountains of Tennessee as well as the beaches of the Carolinas. Once drove through northern Alabama and thought it was gorgeous. Born in upstate New York so the Finger Lake area is beautiful as well. And of course, I love Downtown Chicago!

Pets: 2 pugs and two stray cats we started feeding that have become a part of our household. Oh, and a daughter's boyfriend. :)

I like sunsets, long walks on the beach and puppies. I hate fake people and wish only that all children everywhere could be happy. My favorite color is mauve and I adore natural fiber clothing. I pray for world peace and an end to the exploitation of the earth. My sign is Pisces which means fish, which I don't eat because I love whales, dolphins and manatees.

And Kumbaya is your favorite song.  :D

I like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain.  I'm not much into health food.  I love the feel of the ocean, and I am into champagne.  I'm not into yoga, but I have half a brain.  I'd love making love at midnight on the dunes on the cape...Come with me and escape.

...my apologies to Rupert Holmes.  Loved this song growing up.

Father of two wonderful young ladies, grandfather of a 3yo young man.

Pleasantly single for 12 years but open to options. ;)

Southern California native living for the last two years in Lynchburg, VA.

Vice President of an inbound/outbound call center primarily working with Christian ministries. If you see, for an example, Dr. David Jeremiah, on TV or listen to him on the radio and he offers an 800 number to order a book or give a donation there's a 90% chance that call will be answered in Lynchburg, VA. We do that for several well-known ministries, some I am proud to say we work with and others not so much. We do some other marketing of Christian books, movies, and some secular stuff as well. It's probably the most interesting job I've had and you learn...a lot.

I do not plan on staying in Lynchburg too long and renting as a result. Would like to move back to SoCal someday.

I own a 2012 Genesis.

Favorite places - Maui, Lake Tahoe, Switzerland, Laguna Beach, Oregon Coast, Monterey, CA. and anywhere with my girls.

Any more, Cahokia is pretty much just south East St Louis.  It's a rough place.

Can't you use some influence to move Lynchburg closer to, let's see.....anywhere?  It's a nice place, but we can't get there from here!

Hmmmmm, let's see....

* I live in the south suburbs of Chicago.

* Rent. (Only 1 bathroom LOL)

* Favorite place lived / visited was Northern Maine when I was in the Air Force. Stationed there for 2 years. That's some beautiful country up there.

* Married.

* One son from previous marriage.

* Currently unemployed. (Want to hire me?)

* Spend free time job hunting, bike riding and playing amateur radio operator.

I think that just about covers everything. Want to know anything else, just ask.

:)
