Oh, geez.

$250 flat rate for a "doctorate."
No Bible courses required.
No dissertation (a general requirement of any doctoral program is a substantially original thesis, defended orally).
No undergraduate prerequisite.
Amateurish Web site hosted on a freebie host.
Multiple spelling and grammar issues (including, in one instance, the name of a faculty member on his own page).
An entire faculty of "professors" without a single earned Ph.D. amongst them from a recognized graduate institution.

You sound judgmental.

You sound ignorant.

What does that have to do with the material offered?  If it is good material then it is good no matter how many faults you find with those sharing it.

Some of the best Mexican food I ever ate was at a run down looking place with low prices.  I doubt if the cooks had a degree in cooking.

It has everything to do with the material being offered. If you're going to offer a basic, freshman-level, Bible-college correspondence course in expository preaching, don't pretend it's a "doctorate."

So simple, even a fundy could understand it.

Except that with the number of fake fundy "doctors" bloviating around, apparently even that's not true.

Some of the best Mexican food I ever ate was at a run down looking place with low prices.

And if I went to a Mexican restaurant and ordered a $25 enchilada plate, I would expect a little more than a spoonful of Hamburger Helper on top of a corn chip with a splash of Tabasco sauce.

Even if it tastes good, it ain't what it says on the label. That's the point.

Hey IronCid, go back and play on the old FFF with your own kind.  Your stupidity really sticks out here.

Any legitimate degree will cost nearly $250 JUST for matriculation fees.

I have spent over $250 for books for just one subject.

Since a legitimate doctorate will involve a minimum of 32 hours post Master's program, this means that each hour would cost about the same as a good brew!

Forget the "doctorate" and drink up me hearties! LOL!

Since you think that I am Ironman I can see your hate for him towards me.  I tried to get on the other forum mentioned but have not been accepted yet.  When I get accepted there I will try to talk with him and see if I can get you two to get along.  Christians who can not get along are usually unhappy people.

::)  Sure thing, IronCid.

Not any worse than those non accredited church based "Bible Kawleges" handing out their "doctorates" and having these men walk around calling each other "Dr." ...when in reality for most of them the only doctorate degree they would qualify for is ignorance and sheep fleecing!

A "honorary doctorate" is just a thing. Nuttin more nuttin less. I could care less whose got one. The responsibility falls to the sheep not to fleeced or ignorant. If a college that I thought a lot of offered me one I'd take it. I'd have no idea what to do with it.........but hey.

No, not really. It still would be just a thing. It wouldn't make me any better or worse

Explain this to me because I don't know. Do you mean 32 credit hours? What exactly is involved to earn a doctorate after your master's? I understand that every degree is slightly different so explain in relative terms.

After a M.A, you can get a Ph.D. for 32 more credit hours.
Of course, all of this depends on the school, but this is typical.

Who decides what is the requirement for a doctorate? Is it the individual school or a certain governing board? Would a person usually go to a different institution for an advanced degree or is every situation different? Does the specific school review your doctoral dissertation and assess it or is it some governing body? Inquiring minds want to know.

Individual schools have their own requirements and dissertation committees.

Of course accredited schools have to comply with their particular agencies.
