Well...shaving with one's knife would have worked if that was the first and only use of it. I liked the Tarzan movies as a kid, but if I take up fiction again, it will be the Master and Commander series.

It was a knife he found in the cabin of his late parents, and he figured out how to keep it sharp.

I'm four or five books into this series, myself. Now that I'm done with Stephen King's books, Patrick O'Brian is next on my list and I want to finish them off. Best historical fiction I've read, though I'll admit Horatio Hornblower is more fun.
