In honor of aleshanee's sister.
i haven;t see her run anywhere in a long time either... with or without scissors... ;)
.. but i;ll let her know someone here was thinking about her ....:cool: ..her company
moved her back here during the pandemic... and upgraded her old office with
tons of high tech equipment and flat screen tvs on the walls.... and she is
always in there working..... day and night it seems.... but i keep the
coffee supplied......

Had a professor friend in university who used a similar analogy to explain the connotation of the cross in the first century, and why the symbolism of the cross was such a scandal to the world: "Imagine Christians today wearing little electric chair pendants." Like this meme--funny, though not really.

Not surprised at all. I doubt the analogy is original, and has probably occurred to many people independently. When my grandfather died, my mother acquired some of his old notebooks. While my grandfather was never particularly outgoing about his faith while I knew him, when he was younger he had taught Christianity at the YMCA (back when the "C" meant something). In one of his notes, he remarks something to the effect that if Jesus had walked the earth today, he might have been electrocuted rather than crucified. (The analogy obviously isn't perfect, as the chair lacks the necessary aspect of bloodshed.)
