Paul Kingsbury is the Pastor at North Baptist Church, and was the Pastor when justmamma, myself and hubby worked there. He is a good man, and I always enjoy listening to him speak.

kaba, I know you are getting old :), but it is Northlove Baptist Church.

Hard to do three things at one time, Yes, North Love Baptist Church :)

I knew what you meant.  Pay no attention to the bald guy.

yea, I'm sure you did.  Any I bet you've heard of Clays Road Baptist Church too!

Anybody excited about going?
I like the lineup of preachers, but I'm not excited about the staff teaching me anything.

Anybody like to take a stab at what session topics would/could/should be?

Suggestion 1:
Blind loyalty 101?
KJV1611... Where did you see/hear this announcement? JW briefly mentioned this conference to the congregation a few weeks ago during the service, but it sounded like it was not geared towards the "nation" or "outside delegates". It sounded like it was just for the local church here in Hammond. I followed your link and found nothing... Just curious.

Also, I've missed a few services here and there over the past few weeks, so I might be out of the loop as well... which I find rather peaceful and gratifying sometimes ;D

I am surprised that Johnny Pope has hung in there.  FBCH/HAC had turned their back on him years ago, and Schaap brought him back, deservingly so.

He has a good opportunity and good reason to turn his back on the same ones who abandoned him, and he did not.
My sentiments as well.

Yes...the offering tonight was for this conference, which is the only way I have heard it mentioned except here on this forum. It is not listed on the website or facebook page. Where did you hear / see it announced?

It is listed in the month of October on the church web site calendar.
There is a slide for it in the advertising loop that runs on all hall monitors.
It has been running on there for a few weeks.

Oops. Guess I better start paying attention to them "I-mags"

I never look at them, either. Usually there is nothing different...

I received a card about it in the mail 2 days ago.

I was not invited. :-[ :( :-[ :(  But then again, I have never been invited to the alumni banquets at pastors school or been included in any of the alumni newsletters, etc. Maybe it's because I was always able to pay my bill on time that I didn't get noticed. I would have a difficult time paying my bill the way it has been in construction the past 6 years. I think I will re-enroll now! I could get my master's in hackadoodlism!

Excuse me ,but you WERE the last picked for the baseball game.

Maybe my Cubs cap had something to do with it.

Gotcha.
I envy your name...I should have thought of it.  Maybe I'll see if I can change mine to "I worship at Dunkin"!
