Everything you described is BJU in 1971 when I attended. For example, a boy and girl student walking on campus, once they entered any building on campus, had to stop talking and immediately separate from each other.
This reminds me of a thread about the byzantine rules some college (may or may not have been PCC, I don't recall the details) had about what constitutes a "date," and hence whether boys and girls were allowed to do it together--as if the school, yea, Jesus Christ himself, would be brought to shame if a couple had too many lunches together and took a walk afterward.
