I am humbled to be in the presence of one so holy. I myself, have been "an embarrassment" several times in the past and no doubt will have Jesus shaking His head again in the future.
If you want to put yourself in the same category as a child molester go ahead.

His life is undoubtedly a tragedy. However, I agree with you that those of us so blessed by the grace of God understand that ALL of us, like sheep have gone astray and bought shame and reproach on the cause of Christ. The Apostle Paul called himself 'the chief of sinners." It is God and God alone who will be the final arbiter of His righteousness on judgment day. So, may we strive to be worthy of that crown.

I like the quote of a novelist who died over a hundred years ago, H. Rider Haggard, who said "I am a Christian because I believe that Jesus Christ embodies the mercy of God to people like me, who have lived lives that inevitably have some terrible things in them."
There’s definitely categories to this. I wouldn’t put myself in the category of Dave Baker the child molester.

Ron Thompson 1962 - 2025

Obituary: Ronald (Ron) Thompson
10/21/1962 - 2/23/2025

Ron Thompson was born in Huston, Texas to the late Tommy Thompson and Barbara Capron. Ron loved spending time with his family, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In his free time he enjoyed writing and sharing his wealth of knowledge with others.

Surviving are his wife Jeanne Thompson, children Melody Loder, and Austin Thompson (Shelby), and his grandson Rune Loder.

My dad, Ron Thompson, was a good man. He spent his life working to help others be it social work, spreading the gospel, or just sharing his life experiences. He taught me at a young age to love all people no matter their race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. As well to help people who may be less fortunate or not have a voice. I loved him dearly, and have taken those
lessons into adulthood. I know I will have more to say later, but for now let me leave you with a section from one of our favorite songs, The Impossible Dream from The Man of La Mancha.

“To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause
And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest”

I heard that Tom Wing passed away. Don't know when or how. He was married to Carol Pearson. Carol's mother Rose Pearson passed away a few weeks ago.

This will be a shocker for my wife who really liked miss belinda.
She was on my floor in college you either liked her or never cared for her. She never spoke to me so I'm sad for her family. She was married several times. I know she broke several men's hearts.
