Not only this, but why does he continue to go to FBC after all those years of drinking the KoolAid? Many of the 'dupers', the 'brainwashers' and the 'brainwashed' surely still attend the cult there.RAIDER said:Norefund said:All of you who seem intent on roasting BGW for not standing up to JH or JS, please list all of the FBC members who did stand up. Do you think BGW was the only one who knew things were going on and couldn't/wouldn't/didn't do or say anything? Let me help you:
1. Vic Nischik - look how much scorn he had to endure after revealing what he knew
2. Voyle Glover - literally wrote the book on Jack Hyles. Endured death threats and was shunned by friends he had known at FBC for decades
3. George Godfrey - went from being hailed as the greatest soul winner and teacher at HAC to being a pariah. His home was burglarized and vandalized. His speaking engagements were canceled. Just trying to make a living was a struggle
Face it. A cult is difficult to challenge or even break away from.
Also, while you are ripping BGW for not doing anything, ask yourself; What did I do? My guess is you didn't do or say anything either.
I was a college student for 4 years and knew nothing of what was supposedly going on. If BGW knew what was happening and didn't want to cause problems, he could have quietly left. Let's be real. You read the multitude of wrong that BGW claims to have known about year after year for 40 years. Keep in mind, not just one thing that was swept under the rug, but he has a long laundry list. It makes me wonder what he will be saying about Wilkerson's ministry after he is gone.
If he has truly been set free, if he has truly seen the light and shaken off the effects of the Kool Aid, why not attend a 'reformed' non-denominational church like the rest of those who have been set free?
Along with this, BGW continues to verbally assault, mock and scorn IFB beliefs and Fundiess, appearing to having been enlightened, all the while still attending the Grand Pubah of cults, FBCH.
I just don't understand how BGW could look John Wilkerson in the eye, shake his hand, and yet scorn much of what JW beleives here on the FFF.
Forgive me for not swallowing your, "BGW finally has the courage of convictions to step up and speak out and let's just give him the benefit of the doubt" mantra.
I just don't buy it.
