If you pay attention you will notice that there are some very interesting and unique church names.  What are some of the names that you have seen?

BTW, what is the origin of "First" or "Second" as the first word in the name of a church?  Is the answer as simple as it seams or is there more to it?

I know a First Baptist Church of a certain town which is not the first Baptist Church. There was another Baptist church there which no longer exists.

I wonder if originally the term "First Baptist" was used because the church was actually the first Baptist church in a town.  As time progressed did churches just use the name because it had become popular?????

Or, was First Baptist originally a baptist church with a distinct set of beliefs from other Baptist churches?
