Jack Hyles in all his glory. I've heard John McCormick say "you can be as weird as a football bat and be saved," but I think Jack Hyles was pushing it.
More tripe from the twit preacher from Texas turned Hoosier. Hardly anything Hyles preached was worth listening to.More of Jack in all his glory, from his sermon "Get Your Stinking Feet Out Of My Drinking Water:"
"Let me tell you something tonight. America didn't have policeman in our schools when we believed this King James Bible. America didn't have a bunch of dope problems, marijuana was almost unheard of when America believed this King James Bible. When the teachers in our public schools started off the morning reading this King James Bible, believed with this King James Bible, and before a bunch of self-styled scholars thought they could change the King James Bible, to make a buck, we had a nation worth something. Brother, we're not gonna save this nation until 'til we get back to every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Father. . . .
"Let's open here and see what it says, 'And when the men of the city arose early in the morning.' Now 'Men' is the opposite of women. Some of you queers wouldn't know that. Maybe I've had more fun tonight than this morning. I'm saying I've got to have every Word. I must have every Word to live. I must have every Word to get my prayers answered. I must have every Word to receive Christ the Bible says."

Oh really... How'd that go?I discussed his position with him.
'Zactly. If the King James Version is necessary for salvation then one would have to add the KJV to the gospel of Christ. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
'Zactly.
The way KJVO cultists get around that is to say, "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Since the KJV is the only legitimate Word of God, it stands to reason that any other source of faith isn't a saving faith. Sad. Tragic. Damning.
No, it's not hyperbole, if by that you mean Hyles was exaggerating for effect. It's what he actually believed and taught. That's sermon was Hyperbole.
There is no hint whatsoever Jack Hyles was using hyperbole. Jack Hyles was a false teacher who taught salvation was simply believing the “fundamentals of the faith” without a changed heart. He gave thousands a false assurance of salvation by teaching salvation consisted of saying a prayer at some point in their lives. And I'm not using hyperbole. That's sermon was Hyperbole.
It the Gospel message, not the KJV that matters. Jack Hyles Taught that and every IFB college I know teaches. The sermon was Hyperbole. Such use of symantics do cause a great deal of confusion though I will agree.

The apostle Paul taught that those who practiced lifestyles the Bible condemns were false converts.
1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1Co 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates?
Florida Bible College has in their statement of faith that teaching a “willingness to turn from sin, or turning from sin” is "heresy". Yankee Arnold (just like Jack Hyles) believes a man can live his entire life contrary to scripture and still be saved. In the following video he says out loud what Jack Hyles, Curtis Hutson, Steven Anderson, and countless other preachers are promoting today.
“You can’t tell me you can’t trust Christ to save you and go out here and live like the Devil and still go go heaven. Yes I can tell you that. That’s what the Bible says. If you don’t come to the conclusion that that yes, you can trust Christ as your Savior and live like the Devil, and still go to heaven when you die, you don’t get grace. Because that is the exact truth. That is the truth. I do not have to change my life, I don’t have to stop one sin!
