New King James Version (NKJV)
16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

I have never really thought about Heaven much, either. And the New Jerusalem will descend out of Heaven. Nope, Jesus saved me, 35 years ago, and all I have ever looked forward to is martyrdom, and the Millenial Reign, when the 'good guys' are finally in charge.BALAAM said:Okay, I have to weigh in on this. All my life growing up I was in church and heard about the Heavenly City and the Streets of Gold. To be real honest, it does not do as much for me as "Tumblen Tubleweed, Oh bury me not on the lone prairie, Oh When I die, take my saddle off the wall, put it on my pony lead him out of the stall, tie my bones to his back, turn our faces to the west. And we'll ride the prairies that we love the best."
I guess you would have to be raised in the country to understand.
