.. but for the record... . here in hawaii... the unofficial capital of the beach culture... these are called rubber slippers....not flip flops or thongs.... just rubber slippers....  or simply slippers.... .. they are the most common type of foot wear you will see in the hawaiian islands..  . other than bare feet.... .. these kind with the bumps in the them to massage the soles of you feet are my favorites...  but they come in a flat soled version too... ..  and in all different colors... different brand names.... ..  this particular brand is kinda expensive... harder to find.... ....  so they are not the ones i wear to the beach if i am going to go surfing and have to leave them in the sand .... ...  for surfing i wear cheaper ones like this.... ...



these you can find at walmart for a dollar 99... ...  hopefully.. since no feet are shown in them...  no christian young men will look at this beach culture foot wear and be brought to sin by thinking of wicked undergarments... ... . ... but if they do.....  ??? .... well.......  i did post a warning....  :-\

it;s happened before to people i know who went to a large party where a huge pile of rubber slippers were left outside the door....  to have gone home with someone else slippers on their feet or not been able to find their own coz someone else did... ..... .what;s really bad is going home with a pair of slippers on that are not yours and that don;t even match... ... . but that usually happens at parties where alcohol is served.... or the kim chee was super spicey..... ;D....

The ones for wearing them anywhere and everywhere all the time are still mine. I just don't wear that brand. Not that either of us gives a fig about HAC demerits anyway. I wouldn't have lasted a full day at HAC.

I just bought a new pair of flip flops on line.  No brand name on them, but they're called "Friendship Bracelet" flip flops.  They reminded me of my good friend, aleshanee.

Nike, Teva and Chaco are my brands. The Nikes and Tevas I have to replace every couple years. I don't know how long I've had the Chacos, but with their heavy ballistic nylon straps and vibram soles, they seem indestructible.
