Attendance at IFB colleges

And I also believe the college has the right to make any rules it sees fit. If I don't like them I am free to look elsewhere for my education.

University... get it right! lol!

Up until 1983, you had to get Cedarholm's permission to get engaged EVEN if both sets of parents were in agreement.

Ahhhhh..... the good old fundy life!

Yeah, but you still had to love both of the good  Dr. Cedarholms!  I had him for senior Bible class in the academy (yes, I'm an Acad Brat), following 3 older brothers who attended the college.  One of them toured with the Cedarholms in the Madrigal and Handbell Choir for 5 years.

Thought you lived in Michigan? How did you attend the Academy?

Dad took a pastorate in a nearby town when I was a freshman in high school.  We lived there 5 years, and literally, I was dropped off at HAC from the moving truck as they were moving back to Michigan.

When I applied at HAC, I had one address and home church.  When I registered for classes, I knew neither.  :D

My husband would tease each of my children as they went off to college that we were moving, but not leaving a forwarding address! Didnt realize parents really did that. :) jk

Strange story about Dr. Cedarholm.

He spoke at HAC and made a big issue out of the fact that ALL of Maranatha's graduates except two were in the ministry. I couldn't figure out why he made such a big deal out of that.

Decades later, I learned that less than half of all Bible college graduates even attend church several years after they graduate.
