Were you related to the Thomases in Dubois? They are, or were fundamental Baptists. I was saved at First Baptist Dubois. I dated Sherry. Her mom died in 1985 while we were in college. Her Dad owned a coal mine at one time near Dubois, but it went out of business in the 80's.Unfortunately I do not know them, but my mom's remaining family probably does

I still connect occasionally with people from Weedville and Byrnedale and Benezzete and Kersey. My grandfather had an 80 acre farm, and there's a road named after him in Kersey. We go back to visit graves once every 3-4 years. I love the area but there is no work. Not sure about those in Dubois, the thomas clan in weedville went to the United Methodist church in weedville. My Grandfather owned a coal mine on the hill behind his house
I hope we get to meet one day. The Maranatha connection. I think we missed each other by just a year. I was there in Brad Anderson's last year and Scott Estelle's.Not sure about those in Dubois, the thomas clan in weedville went to the United Methodist church in weedville. i am a fan of florida state university softball... ... they are one of my favorite teams.. .. no politics in it as far as i know.... . but i have never actually attended a game... only seen them on television...... ..... the only college softball games i attended in person are university of hawaii games... .. no politics on display there either... .at least not in the games i saw.......I am from Florida and been a FSU fan since my teenage years. Now I stopped following college football since BLM protests and paying of college athletes. As a matter of fact, I no longer following any sports, due to politics being rolled into sports, etc etc
they actually have a really good softball team too... .. made it pretty far in the past few years... . almost to the college world series.... .. they are not one of the teams we follow regulary though....we don;t have a channel that carries them....I went to Libery, then known as Lynchburg Baptist College

the other team sport i am a big fan of is international rugby... .. every game i saw where the american team was in it they not only stood with hands over their hearts during the national anthem but some of them actually sang along with it...... ...(there was no solo singer just the anthem played instrumental style)....
but i know what you mean about politics in other sports... especially the pro sports.... .. i was a fan of the oakland raiders since early childhood - but stopped watching all pro football when the kneeling for the anthem started.....
