New Office of Graduate Studies

Per MBU News on January 2, 2025:

The Board of Trustees has approved the creation of The Office of Graduate Studies, and unanimously voted to appoint Dr. William Licht as the Dean of Graduate Studies.

Dr. Licht has served at Maranatha since 1993, most recently as Vice President of Academic Affairs before retiring from the position in 2024. The OGS (Office of Graduate Studies) will administer the four graduate programs not under the banner of Maranatha Baptist Seminary: the Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL), the Master of Nonprofit Administration (MNA), the Master of Education (M.Ed.), and the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT).

I know Bill Licht. He is an excellent guy, with a serious, deeply spiritual committment to Christ. We served together at Fellowship Baptist Church in 1993-1995. I am sure he will do well. I appreciate Maranatha, even though I have moved away from Secondary Separatism and Dispensationalism. Its funny, our Reformed Baptist church has probably 15 people who went to Maranatha in years past. Even a former Seminary Professor who continues as a Seminary Professor in a Fundamentalist Seminary. The one that Dr. Bob, the old poster here, went to, and that I got my MDiv from.
