Someone I know just traded in his wife's GM SUV for a Land Rover. I commented on the new vehicle and his response was that he couldn't stand the thought of owning an "Obama Car". Seemed dramatic - but my mind was curious if others have made decisions like this.

Have you made any decisions now with Obama in office to reflect a protest or dislike toward his policy or public statements?

Another example - my brother-in-law won't drink Pepsi since the "Obama Administration" allows the prisoners who are supposedly terrorist to drink it.

Yeah, I intend to keep all my guns and not tell them about them, even though he says they are bad!

The next four years will be all handout programs......but my question will be what's going to happen when all the monies are gone? Riots in the streets like in the 60-70's    Obama wants us to be a nation of hand outs.........we can look at the European economy and see that isn't working

I agree wholeheartedly.

I hope Obama tries to issue an executive order to ban some types of Guns. I'd love to see the House issue call for an impeachment vote.

Have you noticed that GM is going down hill again? They are choking on thousands of new trucks. They even have some close to $7500 from the factory side. I have no desire to buy a GM vehicle. Probably will never consider it again. There are too many other good vehicles out there. Also, I have no desire to own an assault rifle, but........ just to make some people complain about it.... I might end up buying a large capacity clip for what I've got.

Ford didn't take any money and they are making the best cars they've ever made right now. I'd definitely consider a Ford.

I have no problem with someone owning  a GMC pre 2008. Now as far as buying one since 2008, that is where I would draw the line.

My sister works for Ford Motor Company and they have done a great job dealing with Obama :)

Just covering my tail, and keeping my head down. Life as usual, and trusting in God.

I had hoped to upgrade from my aging Crown Vic cop car to a new small SUV (Toyota RAV4 maybe), but with the economy as it is, any kind of new car is still not even a possibility.

We have offleasing.com where the cars are from being leased they are new used and  are still under warranty...The prices can run from under 5,0000 to 20,000.

Hasn't anyone considered that, by making decisions opposed to the President's desires, they are still allowing the President to shape their decision-making?

How have I protested initiatives I don't like? I just ignore what our government is doing unless there are legal reasons to do otherwise (e.g. taxes). If I want Pepsi, I'm going to drink a Pepsi, not because of something our government did, and I'm not going to refrain as some time of protest.

Just drawing attention to the fact is assisting the one you  are hoping to oppose. Remember: the only bad publicity is no publicity.

(This isn't to say I don't stay aware and take meaningful action when I feel it is necessary.)

Thinking of moving to Canada.

Do you really believe Canada is any better?

Not right now, necessarily.  If the Dems take all of Congress in 2014, I think we can expect the economy to completely implode and perhaps even massive civil unrest, in which case Canada is one of many better places to be.  I only thought of Canada as an option first because my wife has a sister in Calgary, AB.  It would be nice to have some family around.
