Would appreciate some help from my forum FFF friends regarding Torrent v.3

There is a poster named Torrent v.3 who has been an ankle-biter following me around sniping and basically attacking my person on the forum.  I ignored his/her petty juvenile behavior for the longest time.  I have no idea who it is, and had never responded to it until recently, when I finally gave it a little dose of the medicine it had been dishing out against me without provocation for some time.  After responding to it in kind, it made this veiled threat...


Oh, I would love to meet you on the street.  You are one of the world's biggest self-righteous hackasses.

I don't take too kindly to physical threats.  I have a wife and son to provide for, and the internet is a creepy place with all the anonymous losers who take to bullying and cyber stalking.  The real irony here is that Torrent made the threat on a thread about Stalking.  This person crossed a line when they went from merely running their mouth and name-calling to making intimidating and threatening statements.  They claim that they are not anonymous and are known by people on here. 

So, if you know Torrent v.3 and could help him/her become accountable for their words and threats, if you wouldn't mind,  let me know their identity so that I can at least take the proper steps to protect from the nut doing something stupid or notify proper people of their menacing attitude/claim.

I'd have a lot of dollars.  It's the only thing I'd get out of the situation, because 15 years later, I'm still beatdown free.

ummm, at that early inception of this forum you had already established that you approved of the term jackass, and disapproved (and edited out/censored) of a milder form of word which I had used.  Since you thought the expression was okay, I called you one.  Why would you report something that you had already told me was acceptable language?

2) torrent v.3 is the same as torrent v.2. That poster had issues with email and reported the issue upon creating v.3. So there is no sock puppet.

I didn't complain about his creation of multiple accounts.

3) worst than name calling are threats and personal info. I will visit those posts and give warnings. Since I am on mobile, hopefully the offending poster will edit the post before I get back to my computer.

That seems a bit counter-intuitive.  If the dude is dangerous it serves his purpose to edit the post and to hide signs of his unstable claims.  If he were to follow through with his veiled threat I'd like to think that you would want evidence of where he'd made the claim.  More in line with appropriate action seems to be that he/it would own up to the threat as inappropriate and then sincerely claim that they would not act on such an ill-advised threat.

Gladly.  Just note that I avoided him for several months while he regularly took opportunities to jump into threads where I appeared just so he could make personal attacks, and when he/it did that they didn't remotely address anything substantive in the thread.  They only made ad hominem attacks based on events that happened in previous incarnations of the FFF.  I have patience, but if you want me to sit idly by while this cowardly anonymous jerk makes personal attack one right after another (even though he/it was unprovoked), then they escalate it to veiled physical threats, well, your moderation needs some work and is a bit one-sided.

There was no real threat and no divulgence of personal info.

Well, I'd love to run into you on the street someday, to talk about it, of course.  8)

Like Ransom, I have received several real threats from "pastors" on the old forum.  Sometimes you just have to consider the source and move on.  You usually only have to worry about the quiet ones anyway, the blowhards are just that.

What does "I would like to meet you in the street" actually mean, if it wasn't a threat of physical violence?  And why didn't you deny that it was a physical threat when I first responded to you indicating that I felt like it was a physical threat?

Wanna explain the context of why I called you a hypocrite?  Nevermind, I will.  You dogged rsc2a for being anonymous, all the while maintaining your own anonymity.  Hypocrite, wear thy shoe, or mask if you will.

Good, that was all you had to do in the first place ( or simply discuss things of substance in a civil manner), since I hadn't initiated one single post ever to you, and in spite of that you made it some personal mission to take numerous opportunities to interject yourself into threads and make personal attacks on me.  When I finally had enough and dished it back you didn't like it.  That's how most people are who like to bully, they can dish it but can't take it.
