The "Urgent prayer request" thread and the passing of the young man had me thinking about an episode that occurred when I was at HAC.  Someone on here will know who I am talking about.  It happened in the early 80's and the young man worked for security.  His wife was driving and was hit head on and killed.

When they came to tell him, his response was an astounding "Praise the Lord" or something like that.  That coming Saturday he even went on his bus route.

Who is he and where is he now?

Kathy was her name she was from Calif

Mike Scott my husband and Bro Meister went and told him. Remarried Nancy(Kathy's best friend) and they live in Melbourne, Fl. I saw them once when Tim Lee spoke at Mike Rhoades church.

She had just finished doing laundry at the laundry mat and had stopped at McDonald's on her way to see Mike. She was killed instantly. We picked her parents up from the airport. She is buried in California. Mike was witnessing to the priest at the hospital. Kathy had just graduated and just got married. It still makes me cry to his day when I think about it. I'm not sure what happened to the young man who was drunk and hit her car head on ....I can't remember the street its across from Burr St

His name is Mike Scott

My husbands name is Danny

I was typing without using proper , My husband and Bro Meister went to see Mike Scott ....I was thinking quickly and typing

I never had him as a teacher...........But I was typing without looking at the sentence...LOL! Thank you for your humor

That happened during my freshman year.  I had one (of seven) roommate who had been Kathy's roommate the year before.....and in the same room.  This roommate had had to stay at HAC for Thanksgiving and Kathy had put glow-in-the-dark stars on the room's ceiling for the girls who was staying.

Those stars were still there the following year and were as much comfort to that roommate upon hearing of the tragedy as they were during the Thanksgiving break the year before.

When I got married I lived off of th road she was killed on, and would think of her all the time as I drove on it!
