What was your first car that you owned?

For me it was a 1980 Chevy Citation purchased in 1985.

The thing was a piece of junk from day one, but it was mine and it got me from point A to point B and back (well, most of the time LOL).

Mine was the exact color as in the picture below...

1970 Dodge Short bed pick-up...it was a tank!
 
1974 Mustang II, paid $400 for it, and had it less than a year, until I totaled it and had to be cut out of it by the "Jaws of Life".
 
1980 Buick Skylark.

Mine was White. Bought it from my sister for a grand in 1991, when I was 19.

You ARE kidding, right?  Studebaker? Were you an extra on "Happy Days?"
 
Mine was a '70 Ford Galaxy sedan with the 351 Windsor engine. It was 1974 then, so it wasn't very old. I got it cheap because it needed a valve job. I managed to get that done cheap too, and it served me well for several years. Not very exciting though... except it looked like a plain clothes cop car, which was kinda fun sometimes. I played that up by putting H70-15 black sidewall tires and baby moon hubcaps on it. And some seriously heavy duty shocks to tame the floaty ride. With those minor changes it didn't handle badly at all for such a big beast.

Chrysler Cordoba, weird avocado green. I think it was a '75. I had to walk ten miles just to get to the door if I started walking from the front of the vehicle. LOL

1977 Ford Granada, Ghia body style, V-8 351 Windsor engine.
Could pass anything on the road except a gas station.

1975 Ford Mustang with a 2.5 4 banger.
Had it up to 100 mph, but it sprung a gas leak.
It caught on fire a couple of days later while I was on a date.
That was one 'hot' date while we enjoyed the 'car-b-que.'
 
Mine was a Mustang II coupe, probably a 1974.  It was my mom's car, given to me for my HS graduation.  Sad to say, it was totaled in '79 or '80, when I was T-boned by a pickup truck.  My next car was a Chevy Nova.  Pretty, but it was a no va (no go). 

The next car I drove was a Ford Granada, but that one actually belonged to my mother in law.  I remember going to the courthouse with my husband to sign up for our homestead exemption.  One of the required documents was a car title.  Goodness, we didn't have one, but, to our good fortune, I went to school with a lady who worked in the tax assessor's office -- she vouched for me, so we got our exemption.   
 
My son owns a 1989 (I thnk) jeep. Once in awhile I have to drive it. Throws my back out trying to get in it! He loves taking me grocery shopping in it!
