Edification for discernment on why any Bible just simply cannot do.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.  KJV

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  KJV

John 6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.  KJV

Does your Bible version keep to the testimony that Jesus is the bread of life that gives life to the world and thus is the Giver of life or did you Bible changed out the small "s" to a big "S" and testified in opposition to John 6:33-35 that the Holy Spirit is the One that gives life in supporting the Nicene creed instead of the Son of God being that Giver of life?

Does it bother you about having a modern Bible that declines from the testimony of the Son in giving His glory to the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit in us seeks to not speak of Himself, but testify of the Son to glorify the Son as those led by Him would be doing the same thing, especially in translation?

Just sharing why I rely on the King James Bible because I love that it keeps the testimonies of the Son in seeking the glory of the Son & by Him, the glory of God the Father.

I believe it is best to do ones own study and rely on the Greek. It is very  easy to read and understand.
Original language always trumps a translation. The KJV translators called them the golden pipes.
Even though the Latin Vulgate had been the bible of the church for over 1000 years the KJV translators
opted for the Hebrew Aramaic and the Greek original languages. We should to if we care about the accurate interpretation of God's Holy Word.
All men of God should be able to read and understand the original languages.

Some men of God are better at languages. Others are better at hospitality. Yet others are better at providing a shoulder to cry on.

This is what my parents taught me and I have come to believe it more and more as we see the ridiculous interpretations people get from only using translations and than only one supreme translation. They will invent the strangest convoluted arguments and the lamest excuses for believing some translations just to protect a sacred cow. I guess it is a reaction to KJVO.
There was a time when all seminaries required at a minimum Greek and Hebrew. We are so undereducated today on the original languages. I guess it doesn't help that my mother was a Latin and Greek teacher and I always listened intently as my mom grilled my dad for his seminary classes. They were both in their 30s when I came along. My parents instilled in me a love for the bible in the original languages for which I will forever be grateful.

People would come up with absurd interpretations even if they understood the original languages.

You are not going to find that exhortation anywhere in the scripture, however, believers have been exhorted to ask God for wisdom in understanding His words by going before that throne of grace for help.

Our personal relationship with God is not by way of knowing the original language, but by faith in Jesus Christ in being our Good Shepherd as well as our Saviour that He will lead us to His actual words in the KJV as kept by those that loved Him & His words to discern good & evil in these latter days where faith is hard to find and apostasies abounding in the body of Christ.

God's Holy Spirit did not breath out his Words in English. Only in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The English language did not exist during the time the Scriptures were written down on earth.
The KJV translators did not translate from English but from Hebrew Aramaic and Greek.

In 1844 a man named Miller used his KJV to convince people Christ was returning at a certain date in that year. They sold all their stuff climbed to the top of a mountain and waited for the coming of the Lord because their KJV said so. We know the Lord did not come back. Not to worry James and Ellen White picked up the pieces of the movement along with their KJV and you have the birth of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

After being saved in a Finney revival a man named Smith picked up his KJV and started the the Church of the Later Day Saints. They still faithfully distribute KJVs  to this day.

Well I could go on the KJV was instrumental in the founding of many cults. Including the cult of the KJVO.
