I thought I would start a thread that would let us talk about our Master. Not necessarily theologically, but what does your heart "admire" or "adore" about Christ?

I preached a message years ago I titled "Heart in Hand" from Lamentations chapter 3.

Lam 3:41  Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

If you could translate what is in your heart into praise for Christ, what would you say to Him?

"Admiration" and "adoration" are more than just intellectual acknowledgments.

...well, that would be a very long list, obviously, but the first thing that jumped into my mind as I read that this morning is His sinlessness. I find that to be absolutely staggering, and it brings me such great comfort and hope.

There are many, but I first think of his love for me even though I fail him so many times!

I admire "The Truth".

I admire Christ for the miricles he does.

You know like the one where he turned the water into wine, eh I mean unfermemted grape juice.  Such delicious juice that everyone thought they saved the best wine, ooops grape juice, for last.  ;-)

Bwahahahaha.... was that funny, or is it Just me?

How he has not given up on mankind and send us all to hell.

Do you realize that verse is about the terror God is reigning down on the speaker and not on how much the speaker adores God?

Mercy...I have either personally experienced or witnessed His mercy so many times, it makes me want to show mercy to others.

Jesus Christ is the perfect God-man, so singling out a few things that I find particularly admirable seems like a pointless excercise.

If I say that I admire his holiness, say, am I implying that those attributes I didn't single out for attention are less admirable?

Ransom, this should be the real never-ending thread!

What a fantastic intellectual argument! Thanks for proving my point!

Adoration/admiration is more than an intellectual exercise. To admire/adore Christ for His loving kindness doesn't mean I'm solely focusing upon a single aspect of Christ at the EXPENSE of another! Surely you've adored Him for His love for you without feeling it necessary to name every single theological aspect your find equally noteworthy!

Just because that list maybe millions of lines long, doesn't you can't name a few!

I don't admire Him, I worship Him.

I included adoration in my description... and some people take admiration to the point they are actually worshipping what they admire!

It was a salvation message Vic! The lack of adoration of Christ is a clear indicator of a man's position with God!

His confrontational stance with the religious, juxtaposed with His compassion on the lost.

I have to say that God has watched over our family during these dark days that we are going through..........Everytime I think I have it bad I hear about someone that is going through worse............I know that God is faithful. I don't want to be bitter I want to say God helped me through ..............Thank you God!!
