Sitting here listening to one of my police scanners and I got to wondering what are some of the hobbies we enjoy in our free time? I'll list a few of mine. Would love to hear some of yours.

Bible study (although I shouldn't really consider that a hobby but more like a "life necessity")

I wish I had the time for:
painting
crafts
hiking
canoeing
biking

I have saved all my kids art paintings, been trying to find the time to put them in frames and hang them up!
I have a huge basket full of shells, I want to glue them to mirror frames or picture frames/it is a big thing down here, and people sell them for hundreds of dollars!! I have done one so far, and it weighs a ton. I showed my father in law, and he said why would anyone want that !! (so encouraging-just like his son!)

Actually, TV is a hobby of mine. Not like it is all the time, but do have certain shows I DVR and watch when I get the opportunity. I do watch quite a bit of sports, though.

I like attending local sporting events when I can. I can get Charlotte Bobcat tickets to some game for about $4-$8 each (sometimes get freebies) so I will go with my oldest son at times. Can get into the Kannapolis Intimidators minor league baseball games for about $4 a ticket as well.

I help others the best I can (won't give details) which takes up some time but I enjoy doing.

I love to go grocery shopping. (Local store workers call me the Coupon King!) However, that is but once per week but I really like it. Don't like malls much so it is primarily groceries.

I try to get a habit of physical exercise but have had energy issues since my cancer surgery. Even with a correct diet, I get drained at work so that makes things harder.

I've got zero handyman or mechanical skills so that doesn't play into my life much if at all.

I have to admit I love to watch tv! But I watch more HGTV and cooking shows. There are a few reality shows I love to watch too.

I love, love going to movies. And I have to have popcorn when I go, so can be expensive. Christmas eve, my children and I usually go to a movie, just a tradition we have had since moving to Florida

I knit little mickey mouse outfits for babies.

Aleshanee, my wife and I have talked about living in Hawaii one day. Not sure that will ever happen. How are the local people when it comes to accepting outsiders? Is it really as expensive as what we keep hearing?

My daughter and son are hoping to go to Hawaii this year during the summer. Any recommendations? They both have great jobs and want to travel. So Hawaii seemed the best place to start!

Thank you so much for the insight!!! I will keep what you have recommended and tell them about it. Sounds like lots of things to do! And see
