she passed away about an hour ago. Please remember the family in prayers.

I didn't know them well but I remember Jim and Louise from HAC. Thought and prayers for Jim and family.

Sad time indeed...May God's grace be felt in the family's hearts...May they feel the presence of God wrapping His arms around them and the peace that passeth all understanding enveloping their lives.

So sorry to hear it. Condolences to family and friends.

Will be praying for your church family and all those who knew her.

She is rejoicing with her Lord Jesus and her mother I'm sure was waiting for her...

Her Memorial service will be Thursday at 10:00am for viewing and service at 11:00am

Please remember the family in your prayers!!

We had a beautiful Memorial service for Louise. Please remember my pastor Jim Blalock in prayer and the family. If you want to watch the service its on our web site beaconbaptistchurch.org

If you grew up at FBCH, Louise and her family had a huge influence.

The Vanderhoof's led Primary II church for years in the 70's and 80's.....always very faithful and extremely sincere people.

SherryH, how is Mr Vanderhoof's health?  Was he able to attend the Louise's funeral service?  I watched the service on the church's website hoping to see him in the audience, but I couldn't see him with the various cameras that were used.

Yes, the Vanderhoofs ran the 2nd grade age SS dept.

Isn't their youngest still there, married to a Depper?

Mr Vanderhoof was not at the Memorial Service. I didn't see her sister Debbie she married Jerry ?  I'm sorry I cant think of his last name.  Thank you for the information about the Vanderhoof's I knew they were involved with FBC in the early years. They moved to Powell, Tenn. It's hard to imagine Louise is gone.
I got up this morning and said Louise got to meet my daughter before I did....I remember Louise was so happy when she knew we were going to have a baby. Please remember my pastor and family in your prayers...Thank you to everyone who has prayed and shared memories.

The Vanderhoof's youngest daughter, Debbie, is married Jerry Scott, the former director of intramural athletics.  For many years, they served with Brad Strand in Greeneville, TX. Just recently, Brad resigned from his pastorate and I don't know if the Scott's are still in Greeneville, or if they, too, have moved on from that church.  While Debbie taught at HBGS, Mrs Vanderhoof would come to HB to spend time with Debbie while her students were in "naptime".  Louise and Debbie had/have  very special parents!

That's right, thank you.

Mrs. Scott was Miss Vanderhoof 1 school year, when I was in Miss French's (Mark's Sister) 1st grade class, and Mrs. Scott when I was in her 2nd grade class.
Jerry is one of my favorite people, quirky as he is.

I was confusing the Plopper's daughter, Linda, with the Vanderhoof's daughter's.

Thanks again, these memories are precious, especially when you begin to lose memory function, etc.

You must only be a couple of years older than me.

Do you have any siblings that were in the classes of 90, 91, 92 @ HB?
