I am actually confident. This has made the conservatives mad and we will have a stronger showing at the polls in November.

I hear that the next president may have up to 4 supreme court justice vacancies.

Yikes, that's quite a few. Let's pray the right person gets in office to fill these (potential) vacancies.

On a side note, waaaaay back in the early 90's when I worked at Family Bookstore, I read a christian/political thriller where someone was killing supreme court justices so the President (a liberal in the book, if I remember correctly) could appoint liberal justices to the court. The title escapes me at the moment, but I do remember it being a pretty good read.

As I understand it, that's exactly what Roberts was trying to say in his opinion..."the Court
can't do much about it constitutionally, but the American people can" (nod nod wink wink)

So now insurance is a "tax."

I don't suppose The One ever made a "read my lips" speech, did he? (nudge nudge)

You're only charged a tax if you don't buy insurance.  Look at it this way:

"Would you like fries with that?"

"No, thanks."

"Okay, that will be an additional $3.40 tax... anything else, sir?"

OK, people, reality check time.  Socialized medicine is now a fact for America.  There will be no repeal--just a playing around with the various parts from time to time.  The people of America do not have the chutz-pah to reject all that socialism has to offer out of hand, and politicians who want to continually be re-elected will cave in over and over.  There will be some reforms on occasion, but the direction and end result will not change.

Just like gay marriage, Obamacare is now a fact of life.  America as we like to think of it is over and gone.  It will continue to morph into a sodomite, socialist nation until it realizes the historic fate of all sodomite, socialist nations, or until the Lord returns (which would be a truly great intervention in my opinion).

Actually, this is a relatively freeing moment.  We can now focus on that which is truly important--"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...", as opposed to Christ Jesus came into the world to save America.  That is not to say that we should not be good occupiers until He comes, but America as we like to think it existed is over.  As Jeremiah instructed those in captivity in Babylon in Jer. 29:5 FF "Build...houses...plant gardens...take ye wives and beget [children]...seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be...captive...Let not your prophets...deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed."  IOW, live as normally as possible; advance Christ's kingdom; occupy until He comes; and don't fantasize about rescuing anything until God intervenes.

I can function with that.

I don't see why repeal is politically unrealistic. A majority of Americans support it, and after the election, we will likely have a majority of Republicans in both houses and a Republican in the White House who has promised to sign the legislation.

There are times I would love to be wrong, and this is one of those times.  But I think it is fantasy to think that this congress has the ***** to do anything so drastic knowing they will get crucified in the press.

:o The Obama Care Ruling, I think they frame him very well with this ruling. Now he cannot blame the Courts or the Judges. Now he going to have to explain to the American people, who and how is going to pay for all the Health Care expense, their numbers don

Those who want socialized medicine do not really know what it is they are seeking.

Living in England for 15 months here are some facts concerning the National Health System (NHS) that liberals and the media will not tell you.

1. Wealthy people here still have private insurance. If you have private insurance and need an appointment, you will get pushed to the head of the line. No waiting with the great unwashed for you. No sir, you are special because you are paying for your care through your private insurance.

2. The NHS likes to brag (brag!!!???) that there is only a six month waiting list to see a doctor. In order to keep that six month waiting list, they will not allow you to make an appointment if that appointment will make their waiting list longer than 6 months. While discussing the NHS with English friends (who have private insurance, by the way) I asked, "Is there a waiting list to get on to the six month waiting list?" They chuckled and admitted that they did not know.

Yes, America, this system is coming to a neighborhood near you. Remember though, you begged for it.
