Short Answer #1 : In the NT church era, all we have belongs to God.  When we partner with Him, in the good works He created us unto, we become 'channels only'.

#2 House to house visitation, relationship evangelism, Prison ministry, Rest Home ministry, street preaching, grocery store, concourse, ball game...all of the above named ways have brought me across people who are remaining fruit.  I wouldn't recommend eliminating any one opportunity.
