Are you sure.about that? I hear this from people starting churches where there are already Bible preaching churches. Names of churches are not always a good indicator.

The IFBXrs are always thinking they are the only Bible.preaching churches. From my experience, even IFBX churches often are not Bible preaching.

So we have an x true Baptist here. what are you now? Please don't tell me non denominations, everything goes. :-X

I currently belong to a Bible church. We are not affiliated with a denomination. In fact, one of our favorite churches to visit is an Evangelical Free.

Have you visited each Church, sampled the preaching, or had lunch with each Pastor?

You say less true Bible preaching ... how do you know this?

My old pastor would say things like this, but how could he be honest when he never visited each of them.

How foolish to assume your brand of understanding scriptures is perfect.

Some are not Christian and there those that are by works.  :(  there was a Muslim church that had a sign that said, We believe in Jesus?

I never said my church or brand was perfect. Were just sinners, just like you are.

My church is Episcopal (TEC) and Lutheran (ELCA). It's not much like an IFB church, but the Gospel we preach is the same one Paul preached. Sermons are shorter, but more Bible is read every Sunday. And we sing a lot, and the songs are not empty, repetitious praise choruses. Though they're mostly our original compositions, the lyrics are taken from the Psalms, traditional hymns and other venerable Christian sources.

I love songs taken from the Psalms.  It would be great to see how they were originally sung, and the intruments used.
