Each day around 150,000 people die in this world.

We can debate minor salvation details till we are blue in the face.

But, what are we doing to share the gospel to a real world in need?

Maybe you can start a list of what more can be done to win the lost?

I'm not saying more can't be done. I will say, that God has long done enough. We can't force people to accept Christ. I remember a little saving I heard a long time ago. I think it rings so true today.

"A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still."

Tim did you not open a thread like this on the other forum?

Perhaps. I seem to remember a thread about what a Church does for outreach.

I was thinking more in regards to personal active sharing. Not methods, but basically just "get off your butt" and share!

For example, I have a neighborhood with many neighbors - yet, I have never knocked on each door and shared much of anything. Someone recently said to be a good American is to be missions minded - to sound the warning bells of judgement!

What are we doing?

I do believe we can make a difference, but many times our efforts only make the situation worse. I do not believe that everyone is called to share the Gospel message. God has called some to do this. Not everyone. Yes, a person can share their faith in Christ and their sincere love and affection for Christ. Yet, they shouldn't necessarily try to defend the Gospel Message. There is far too much pressure placed on the average church member to be a "soul winner".

No. No. No. No. No. Absolutely not.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

I believe each should be able to share the gospel (after all, we should warn others of the wrath to come!). But, yes, perhaps some are given a greater gift from God to do this. I know many who can share their faith like tying shoes - and then, well, people like me stumble over the words and rarely jump on opportunities.

Reminds me of ...

I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
